The Kuvempu University will confer honorary doctorates on seven persons from various fields at its 22nd convocation scheduled for February 8.

Sanehalli Mutt seer Panditharadhya Swami, Devangi Prafullachandra for innovative farming, Karnataka State Co-operative Apex Bank President R M Manjunath Gowda, Kudali Jagannatha Shastry, Yoga Expert Raghuram Nagaratna, Educationist Ajra and P. R. Krishnakumar, Managing Director of AVP Group of Institutions for his accomplishments in the field of Ayurveda.

Former ISRO Chief G Madhavan Nair will deliver the convocation address.

Sri. P.R. Krishna Kumar has rendered yeoman's service in promotion of Ayurveda as a credible approach to health care and has made pioneering initiatives to establish Ayurveda at the global level. The Government of India conferred upon him the Padma Shree in 2009 in recognition of his valuable contributions.
